Stronger Together, Building the Future | LandVac Partners with ClearVue to Establish New Green Building Landmarks in Hong Kong

Recently, Luoyang LandVac Titanium Vacuum Insulated Glass Co., Ltd. (LandVac), in collaboration with Australia-based ClearVue Technologies, successfully held a strategic partnership meeting with InvestHK to reach a comprehensive consensus on promoting the integration of vacuum glass and photovoltaic (BIPV) projects in Hong Kong. This partnership will integrate their respective technological advantages with Hong Kong’s market resources to develop a new type of architectural glass solution that combines energy efficiency with power generation, supporting the upgrading and sustainable development of Hong Kong's green building industry.

Amidst global energy price fluctuations and the surging demand for building energy conservation and energy autonomy, Hong Kong—one of the world's most skyscraper-dense cities—faces limited land and rooftop space, making traditional photovoltaic models difficult to scale. Consequently, new architectural glass that integrates energy efficiency and power generation is poised for significant development. In this collaboration, LandVac will integrate its mature and leading LandVac Titanium Vacuum Insulated Glass technology with ClearVue’s exclusive patented solar panel integration technology. The innovative BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) vacuum glass products will not only help buildings generate clean energy and significantly optimise thermal insulation performance but also remain compatible with diverse architectural styles, achieving a perfect harmony between energy efficiency and aesthetic design. ClearVue CEO Mr Doug Hunt noted that this product could reduce building energy consumption by approximately 70%. For a 40-story office building in Hong Kong, the additional costs could be recovered through energy generation savings within 2.6 years. Currently, both parties are advancing five pilot projects in Hong Kong, with one expected to be completed within two years.

This collaboration has received strong support from InvestHK. King Leung, Global Head of Financial Services, Fintech, and Sustainability at InvestHK, stated that they will develop a dedicated promotional plan to attract global investors and drive the large-scale adoption of BIPV vacuum glass products in the Hong Kong construction sector. According to the plan, the two companies will focus on joint technological R&D and global patent distribution. By leveraging LandVac’s manufacturing strengths to ensure stable mass production, while utilising Hong Kong’s international capital market liquidity and its status as a global trade hub, the partnership aims to expand its influence across the Greater Bay Area and the international high-end architectural market. Mr Zhao Yan, Chairman of LandVac, pointed out that the widespread application of BIPV vacuum glass products is expected to bring new development momentum to Hong Kong over the next two to three decades, driving the city to become a global model for green architecture.

Notably, LandVac Titanium Vacuum Insulated Glass has repeatedly won the Platinum certification for Green Products from the Construction Industry Council (CIC) of Hong Kong, thanks to its outstanding product performance and reliable quality. It is currently the only vacuum glass brand in the market to achieve this certification, fully attesting to LandVac’s leading technical strength and superior product quality.
